It has now been 14 years since the National Standards for Out-of-Home Care (OoHC) were last revised. This review is a timely opportunity to update the National OoHC Standards so that they remain relevant, evidence-informed, and focused on delivering better outcomes for children and young people in care. This submission makes recommendations to strengthen the Standards by improving measurement and reporting, the co-design and inclusion of children and young people, and support to children, families and care leavers.
