Anglicare Australia supports the objectives of Support at Home (SaH) and recognises its potential to improve the delivery of aged care in the home. However, the delivery of SaH has also highlighted a range of operational and policy challenges that risk limiting the program’s effectiveness. Through our direct service delivery experience, providers within the Anglicare Australia network have identified concerns relating to assessment outcomes, wait times, participant contributions, access to Assistive Technology and Home Modifications, financial hardship arrangements, and the interaction between SaH and other parts of the aged care system.
