Anglicare Australia supports the intent of aged care reform and recognises the potential benefits of transitioning the CHSP into Support at Home, including greater system coherence and improved coordination of care. However, we are concerned that transition under current policy and funding settings risks destabilising entry-level aged care services and undermining continuity of care for hundreds of thousands of older Australians. This submission argues that the transition of the CHSP must be staged and conditional on system readiness.
