As part of NAIDOC Week celebrations, Anglicare Australia has brought together Acknowledgements of Country from our network across Australia. Our hope is that this document will serve as a reminder of the richness and diversity of First Nations communities, made up of many different and distinct groups, each with their own culture, customs, language and laws. It will also highlight the breadth of our Network, and build understanding of First Nations cultures among our members.

Government must reconsider JobSeeker cuts

Anglicare Australia has responded to reports of further cuts to JobSeeker, urging the Government to reconsider. “This new cut will cause anguish and real hardship for Australians out of work. Time to get serious about social housing

Anglicare Australia has joined more than 300 organisations in an open letter calling for a social housing construction boom, similar to that of the post-war era. As a partner in the Everybody’s Home campaign, we are pushing for 30,000 new homes to be built in the next four years. This will deliver much needed housing – and create some 18,000 jobs.
