Anglicare Australia is committed to supporting the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
As part of that commitment we will be advocating for a Voice to Parliament at the upcoming referendum in solidarity with First Nations Peoples, communities and organisations.
The Anglicare Australia Network has come together and made a commitment to support the full implementation of the Uluru Statement from the Heart. That includes backing the Voice to Parliament at the upcoming referendum. Leaders of the Anglicare Australia Network signed this commitment in 2022.
Anglicare Australia has joined with Baptist Care Australia, Catholic Social Services Australia, the Salvation Army, the St Vincent Paul Society National Council of Australia, and UnitingCare Australia in support of a Voice to Parliament. The leaders of these faith-based charities have issued an open letter in support of the Voice to Parliament.
To support the campaign for a Voice to Parliament, Anglicare Australia will be drawing on the tools and resources developed by the Uluru Dialogue. This supporter kit includes background information, answers to questions, and campaign tools.
Our Network came together in support of the Uluru Statement from the Heart and a Voice to Parliament at a gathering in Hobart in 2022.
