Anglicare North Queensland - Youth Workers

Anglicare North Queensland Limited (ANQL) provides vital services to people in need in accordance with values that reflect the social justice charter of the Anglican Church.  We deliver 17 services across North Queensland, spanning from south of Mackay, west to the Northern Territory border and north through the Cape to the Torres Strait.

There are multiple opportunities for dynamic and experienced Youth Workers to join the Anglicare team on a part time or casual basis at our residential services in Cairns and Townsville.

Our residential services provide accommodation and intensive support for young people who have complex to extreme support needs.

As a Youth Worker you will be responsible for engaging our residents in day to day activities and assisting them to achieve their goals.

The ideal candidates will have:

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in youth work
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills
• Blue card
• Current first aid and CPR
• Current driver’s licence
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, support shifts and overnight
