Making a Bequest

Anglicare Australia is incorporated as an association under the Victorian Associations Incorporation Act 1981 and is a registrable Australian Body in accordance with the Federal Corporations Act 2001.

Anglicare Australia's Tax Concession status with the Australian Taxation Office is as a 'Public Benevolent Institution' and has ATO endorsement as a Deductible Gift Recipient.

Anglicare Australia's ABN number is: ABN 95 834 198 262

The appropriate wording for a bequest to Anglicare Australia is as follows:

"I give (free of all duties) to Anglicare Australia Inc, [insert amount or percentage] to be used for the work of Anglicare Australia Inc. The receipt of the Executive Director for the time being of Anglicare Australia Inc shall be full and sufficient release and discharge to my Trustee for the same."

Bequests may be made for usage in a specific Anglicare Australia project, or may be left to the discretion of the Anglicare Australia National Council to be used where the need is greatest at the time.

Bequests may also be made in memory of a friend or family member. Recognition of such a bequest will be honoured by Anglicare Australia in the naming of any program or fund established as a consequence.
